Getting to Beresford Heights & Rise

Beresford Heights & Rise can be reached via the Southern Scenic Route. Whether coming from the North (Owaka- Dunedin) or the South (Papatowai- Invercargill) please follow the southern scenic route and turn off at Puketiro Road. Google maps may direct you onto other roads but no matter what direction you are coming from Puketiro Road is your best option off the Papatowai Highway.

The road to Beresford Heights and Rise in Owaka

GETTING TO BERESFORD HEIGHTS

Located at 361 Puketiro Road, Owaka.


Once turned onto Puketiro Road, follow the gravel road for 3km until you reach our home. Our driveway is sign posted Beresford Heights with a flag flying. Our house is an old style villa with a grey roof.

Your hosts will meet you here to then transfer you and your belongings safely and securely via ATV (all-terrain vehicle) to your cosy lodge.

GETTING TO BERESFORD RISE

Located at 502 Puketiro Road, Owaka.


Once turned onto Puketiro Road follow this gravel road for 3km, drive past both our homes and continue along the road for another 1km until you reach a sign 'Beresford Rise' and a gateway on your right. The private road leading to the lodge is an inclined, uneven gravel road, best navigated with a 4WD or AWD vehicle—though it is not mandatory.

 

Please drive cautiously, especially in wet conditions, and engage 4WD or off-road/all-terrain mode when descending. Please leave any gates as you found them. If you ever feel unsafe, don’t hesitate to notify your hosts.
